Description
Online MRI CE Credits
MRI Essentials is a 7-module, online MRI CE credits course designed to provide an introduction to magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for anyone interested in understanding what it is, how it works, and how some of the basic physics revelations of the 18th century led to what we now know as MR.
MRI Essentials is an overall introductory course that can be taken to prepare learners to cross-train into MRI, refresh their knowledge of MRI basics, or help other healthcare professionals learn more about the modality.
Some of the topics covered in the 7-module set include: MRI safety, patient care in MRI, pulse sequences, proton spin, parameters and how they affect image quality, gradients, Fourier transform, proton spin and frequency, magnetic field strength, MRI safety zones, and types of MRI scanners.

MRI Essentials is accredited by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) and accepted by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) for 5.5 CE credits. It also meets the CE requirements for the states of Texas, Florida, Kentucky, Massachusetts, and New Mexico.
Each module lists objectives that will be covered in the module. Modules include metaphors that help facilitate learning and interactive animations to help relate a concept to a visual representation that the user can control. Each module concludes with a summary and a short quiz to test comprehension of the material covered in that module. Successful completion of each quiz (75% passing score) is required in order to receive your certificate and be awarded your MRI continuing education credits.
